The story of the Quincunx.

(How one sign is a collection of the other)

The Quincunx is usually considered a minor energy in astrology

But to those who know, know that’s it’s not.

As a person who lives with 2 different Quincunxes in the natal chart

as well as carefully feeling out people who are “Quincunxed”

each other by sun sign, I can tell you its no minor aspect at all.

But quickly:

What is this Quincunx energy?

The Quincunx happens when two planets

Or bodies are 150 degrees away from each other,

Or take a full circle, divide it into 12 sections

And number them 1 to 12,

the 8th and 6th placements from each other form a quincunx.

The following example leads to understand why this energy

Seems very awkward and difficult to handle.

On a solar system level this happens when a planet seems

To “hide” behind the sun from the view of the earth between

two other bodies.

The planets therefore are in signs that have little in common in modality and

Element.

Therefore, they don’t see each other well and don’t mix easily.

A sign that is 8 places away from yours

is a matrix collection of yours.

and these signs have more in common than you would think, but in different Spheres.

I’ve come to notice that the sign that is 8 places away from a person’s sun starting from one’s own sun

(I’ll be using the sun in the signs for this portion) is a matrix/collection of said persons sun sign.

For example, an Aquarius is a collection of Cancers but operating at an oblique sphere or at a different level of understanding of society.

Below are detailed examples as to why I think so.

(All that is said here is my personal opinion…but based on intuition, feeling, a mixture of unrelated topics amalgamated to make as much sense as possible and already established astrological views and I refrain from the belief that there are zodiac signs that are superior to another, for each sign is equally an important aspect in the function of source, the universe, god or whatever you wish to call it.

If you are a well-versed astrologer, you would understand the 6/8 energy of the quincunx) I’ve left out Taurus and Libra, because it’s hard for me to grasp the intricacies of their Quincunx.

AN ARIES IS A COLLECTION OF Virgos

(A machine made of tools working in tandem)

One thing Aries and Virgos have in common from the surface level is their go getter, indomitable, tireless and direct attitude. They both possess a strong sense of individuality. They will do things their way till its manifest in reality.

However, those characteristics are most pronounced in Aries.

Aries therefore carries its own energy as well as the sign that’s six places away from it, Virgo.

In Aries the directness aspect overshadows Virgos criticism. Aries operates in a sphere where an all-consuming energy of being direct as a natural state renders criticism futile and yet due to Virgo being six places away has mastered such a concept as Aries ploughs through life.

I like to imagine the archetype of Virgo as being tool

1)    Because they are ruled by Mercury and Mercury rules everyday tools and devices.

2)  Virgo is so efficient, precise and minds not periods of long labour that they are a tool unto themselves.

However Aries is the primal driving force of the zodiac, the oomph behind every action that a tool would not be useful if it hadn’t a mover behind it.

A Gemini is a constellation of Scorpios

There are stark similarities and differences between Gemini and Scorpio

The most obvious is that Gemini lives life out in the open whereas Scorpio lives life in a covert, cautious yet passionate manner.

Gemini zip zaps intellectually and socially while Scorpio probes mentally into the psyche and has a close knit of a social group

Between them lies a unique story about Hermes and Pluto ,Hermes being the messenger god in the pantheon who is capable of travelling to the underworld , where Hades/Pluto resides.

a

What Scorpio misses in the character found in Gemini is the ability to walk through and create labyrinths and connections in the open and be fully open to what they are up to .

That's because Hermes was blessed with the tool of intellectualism , trickery , misleading and magic that makes him brave to tackle the world head on like an exposed nerve.

If Scorpio harbors secretes and hides them in a hole somewhere Geminis way of getting the tea or secrets is through piecing together information gathered from gossip because Gemini has a wide variety of friends.

The image i get of this quincunx is Hermes leaving a streak of lightning behind in Hades cave , exposing the mind bending plethora of labyrinths Hermes has carved out for himself.

A Cancer is a constellation of Sagittarius

(A bounce on a bouncing castle leads to dizzying heights)

Cancers and Sagittarius are more alike on a surface and partially on a deeper level than one might imagine.

The most important similarity in terms of energy of course is that Jupiter is happy with them both, Jupiter rules Sagittarius and Jupiter is exalted (functions at its prime) in Cancer.

Sagittarius have a buoyancy to their nature but hides and tries to rise above their emotions.

Cancer do have a buoyancy about them but won’t allow themselves to open up to life.

Both are vulnerable in that Cancers are constantly attracted to their shells and limit exposing a lot of themselves to

life’s winds whereas Sagittarius is open to life’s winds but to escape the dark realm of emotion.

Both are extremely deep and philosophical but from different points of view.

Cancer is constantly tapped into the minute ebbs and flow of society and people’s unexpressed energy fields which consequently aids them in philosophising and in some unique but powerful instances, being at the forefront of humanitarian causes e.g. Nelson Mandela, Elon Musk, Nicola Tesla etc. while Sagittarius is more of a hopping from group to group, culture to culture sucking in all the good and fun way of life that they can then share with people through humour while not necessarily being attached to it, but adding it to their collection of experiences mostly focusing on the positive side of said culture.

Now Cancer has the potential to be Jovian like Sagittarius if they learn to force let go and expect nothing, I mean nothing but the best for themselves and their surroundings. Jupiter will surely smile on them.

Cancer is a constellation of Sagittarius because they have the ability to master up grandiosity and that them being nostalgic of only good times makes their base function potentially Jovian under all that emotional muck.

Beneath that old soul look of Cancer, they are highly humorous with that active imagination of theirs and know what will tickle somebody the most.

Cancer, ruled by the moon, stands for the people, the country and the people in it whereas Sagittarius ruled by Jupiter represents foreign concepts, lands and people.

Leo’s bulbous luminosity and gravity lifts Capricorns crust

Leo is ruled by non-other than the sun, the centre of our solar system in opposition to Capricorns ruler Saturn at the very edge of our observable neighbourhood (leaving out trans Neptunian planets). One thing, in my mind, that Leo & the sun and Capricorn & Saturn have in common is gravity. Saturn is grave, heavy and immovable in its expression, compared to other archetypes and planets and so is Capricorn. Capricorn/Saturn tends to want the heavy lifting done till the end of time with little hope of release until the summit Is reached . With that said, Leo, fuelled by the sun, however is the very definition of gravity and proportion. All planets are subject to what the sun does, the very survival and direction of our solar system is dependent on the health and activity of the sun as we hurtle through our galaxy, as all the planets, asteroids and Oort cloud follow the sun through gravity.

Therefore, Leo being quincunx Capricorn shows that true will power isn’t just found in heaviness and monotony all the way but in the belief that you have higher and important things to accomplish, the belief that oneself is a glorious spark of unity. To act and know that you are your own miniverse, to act with the indomitable inner child.

Virgo, disc jockeying criticism not to just leave it at that

But to upbuild and perfect – quincunx to Aquarius

One thing about the yod configuration between Aries, Virgo and Aquarius have in common is being a tool onto oneself.

But what Virgo has is the ability to dismantle what is unnecessary and offer a solution that is both nurturing and constructive.

Virgos symbols often include wheat or corn and the scythe, meaning you reap what you sow and if one lives by this principle there would be no need to always be standing outside at the periphery and being disappointed by the condition of humanity and rely extensively on external stimuli to move about life. If one has control over everything in their life, to the extreme minute detail then there is no chance for one to indulge in public opinions and perspective outside of oneself , because you know yourself to the core and have accounted every little deed of your life.

The archetype of Virgo is to build and nurture within the clan and society whereas Aquarius walks against the norms and may try to dismantle what’s stood the test of time but doesn’t take into account the humanness of humanity.

Virgo dissects, disseminates, dusts up the crumbs to reveal the diamond in the rough with a firm but loving hand.

The innocence of it all, this also goes in hand with the mother archetype related to the moon and ceres as well as the Virgin Marry, giving birth to a sun/son, meaning what they produce brings light to a situation. This is not to speak ill of Aquarius at all but the sun is indeed fall in Aquarius, for every sign in the zodiac is equally important.

What Aquarius sees as gross and not worthy of lofty perfection, Virgo does. Virgo sees the potential light and humanness of everything

Libra proportions the creative elementals in Pisces

(order & balance has always been there like a first gem)

Pisces in a sense represents spirit; pure undifferentiated spirit, the atomic, sub atomic and all the potential building blocks that make up the animate and inanimate (my opinion, which makes sense from my point of view since, evolutionary speaking, animate things originate as lifeless molecules, to complex single celled organisms, from fish to extra intelligent life forms, us.)

With that said Libra represents the balance on all levels of life, from the microcosm to the macrocosm. Life always returns to an equilibrium when things get out of whack!

The fiery creators, envisioning a 3D world would know that for life to thrive balance was a key factor for sustaining it and thus would have to design a threshold and a balance to ensure that a 3D world would not fail under a lack of balance between the creative primary material and natural causes in the 3D. Too much of something can be bad and a little of something can also be bad.

Hence why the threshold requires balance and that’s what Libra represents.

Take the story the Egyptian god Anubis for example, before a departed soul gains or loses entrance to “Paradise, Nirvana, Valhalla etc” it is WEIGHED on a SCALE against a feather.

Scales and weighing are a Libra archetype and resonates almost most of the time, nothing gets through without being in the proper condition or proportion.

To add to the imagery a scale is tuned and can be tuned to be as sensitive as possible to changes in weight, and me saying Pisces is a subatomic sign, Libra can make sense of the changes.

So, Libra being Quincunx Pisces makes sense, although all the 12 faces have the right to be and exist and exercise godhood, there are some forces that we need cultivate amongst ourselves,as an act of evolution.

Scorpio is a constellation of Aries

(no need for an army and pompousness if I’ve got one vile or a nucl*ar b*mb)

Aries and Scorpio have similarities that many can easily notice and that’s ambition, drive, self-possessiveness, a fiery temperament and focus. And that Hellenistically they are ruled by Mars, the planet or god of war.

Although they have strong similarities the way in which they thrive in life is different.

Scorpio goes about life like a secret agent, being covert and keeping all their cards close to them whereas Aries is headstrong and not afraid to be exposed compared to Scorpio.

Aries announces-Scorpio says nothing.

Aries attacks-Scorpio calculates.

Aries is impatient-Scorpio waits for the perfect time.

If Aries is an army and wild tiger then Scorpio is a nucl*ar b*mb or a deadly poisonous sting to the tiger’s foot.

The reason why Scorpio is a constellation of Aries is because what Aries does, they do it in a smaller or bigger but more impactful way that’s everlasting. Scorpio understands that the art of war-covert unseen war.

Scorpio has two rulers, a traditional one; Mars and a modern one; Pluto.

Pluto is known as a higher octave of Mars (only ruler of Aries) meaning what mars stands for, is done in a plutonian/plutonic way. Refer to the story of Hades.

This is in no way to Say that Aries is weak, just with all other Quincunxes, I’m just explaining the dynamic and obviously depends on the chart and development of each individual.

A Sagittarius is a constellation of Taurus

(wealth & esteem sent to the gods)

Sagittarius and Taurus are more alike than one would assume. What they have in common is the theme of esteem, wealth, strong beliefs but beliefs allocated in different spheres of life, excess and indulgence. however, due to the fortunate or unfortunate formation of the Quincunx (depending on how you receive it) Sagittarius has all that the archetype of Taurus has and then some.

Sagittarius is a constellation of Taurus due to the abundance they are able to get for themselves but through a belief that what they do, whether calculated or willy nilly, will come to fruition, acting as a Taurus but with little steadiness and the ability to compromise.

Taurus’ sign is the bull whereas Sagittarius is a centaur-like figure, showing the power to tame the “lower” animalistic desire with the higher thought of man….of god. A reconciliation of the fallen and the risen whereas Taurus, represented by the bull is of a “lower” nature through and through. *PLEASE note;

(All that is said here is my personal opinion…but based on intuition, feeling, a mixture of unrelated topics amalgamated to make as much sense as possible and already established astrological views and I refrain from the belief that there are zodiac signs that are superior to another, for each sign is equally an important aspect in the function of source, the universe, god or whatever you wish to call it.)

Sagittarius worries not about hoarding onto material possessions as much as Taurus. Sagittarius has a charitable philanthropic energy to them because they know abundance is found in bringing all sorts of happiness to all sorts of people and abundance can easily be found with their belief in charity.

A Capricorn is a constellation of Geminis

(A building is made of multiple compartments)

A building/structure (Capricorn) is made of smaller multiple, interconnected, grid shaped compartments (Gemini).

Therefore, a Capricorn is a constellation of Geminis.

Just as Capricorns ruler rules limits and demarcations, Saturn, an electric wire may not stick out of the structure itself for safety purposes.

What Capricorn and Gemini have in common is control and logic.

Capricorn stands for authority, pure concrete logic and preferring monolithic things, ideas, objects and beliefs that withstand the test of time unlike Geminis constant flitting ungroundedness.

Capricorn is a constellation of Geminis because they do possess logic but one that is monolithic and total nature, total in the fact that even reason or trying see potential 2 sides of a situation wont work due to the concreteness of the situation.

Anything monolithic in nature is made up of smaller parts (Gemini) to make the monolith.

Electric circuits and moving generators make up the monolith which is a powerplant.

Gemini focuses on the minute and the individual parts whereas Capricorn focus on the entire make up.

An Aquarius is a constellation of Cancers

(A glass case filled with different coloured jars of water)

The imagery I get of Aquarius and so may a handful of you, is purple, starry controlled water (which represents emotions) even though Aquarius is an air sign.

Aquarius is unfortunately mostly known for being emotionless, cold and aloof, that they possess no emotion whatsoever.

Which isn’t true, in fact the reason for their detachment, is because a lot can trigger them due to their modern ruler, Uranus’, sensitivity hence why they prefer a lot of alone time.

Now throughout Aquarius’ life they’ve gotten accustomed to compartmentalizing and keeping their emotions close yet functioning well in society. I say they are made of a collection or a constellation of Cancers because they understand the realm of emotion well that it would seem they have a manajory of emotions they nurture and control at will, frozen in a glass case, ready to be used or poured out at their own time.

They are a constellation of Cancers due to their “higher” point of view, having a pulse on what makes society tic[TM1] .

When you look at Cancers glyph  when rotating frequently looks like a spiral spiralling unity, Cancer goes with the universal ebb and flow within the cosmic womb whereas Aquarius glyph  is made of striations , layered or stratified; Aquarius need potential ability to see layers in life or macrocosmically the universe

Pisces is a constellation of Leos

(Nebulous matter is the source and food for your existence)

When I think of Pisces I think about Nebulas and nebulousness and Pisces being a constellation of Leos just how nebulas envelope the stars born (Leo) in them.

Think of it like this, all of what we see made up today, from animals, cars, plants, humans, water, etc is a result of what modern scientists call “star stuff” or that all those aforementioned thins are just made of particles of stars and cosmic matter.

But for such things to exist stars needed to exist and a place where stars (Leo) are born is also a must, for if this place didn’t exist, then stars wouldn’t exist then consequently we wouldn’t exist and the place or nursery that stars are born in are Nebulas.

But 1st why do I consider Pisces to be associated with nebulas. in the intro I adjectivized Pisces with the word nebulousness, which is what one would say when describing Pisces and its overall archetype.

Pisces also being the last water sign, some people would consider Pisces a gaseous state due to their fleeting and mysterious aura (the last of signs of their elemental triplicity are considered a higher state of what that element stands for such Capricorn, mountains, Aquarius; space and Sagittarius the flame of god)

Pisces’ modern ruler is Neptune which looks like a mysterious planet as well as the God themselves, Neptune.

Neptune the God lives beneath the ocean, a relatively unexplored place filled with lost and undiscovered oceanic creatures, which is an example of nebulousness.

Now the reason why Pisces is a constellation of Leos should be intuitive by now.

Nebulas are the nursery of where stars (Leo) are born, therefore Pisces inherently has the blue print and understanding of Leo and all other signs since the archetype of Pisces is “the end” and preparation of death and rebirth.

Back to terra firma, Pisces is just as creative and compassionate as a Leo, occupying a larger space in silence just like Leo. If Leo is the closest thing to our minds to a prime animus than Pisces can enter into that state but detach from it because there’s a lot more to experience and feel than to be a central entity. If Leo is a source of light, then Pisces is the creator of sub elements that form to become an entity that holds light within itself.

I’ve left out Taurus and Libra, because it’s hard for me to grasp the intricacies of their Quincunx.
